Sr. ProServe Cloud Architect, DoD ProServe
About the role
The AWS Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking an experienced ProServe Cloud Architect (PCA) to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Responsibilities
- Work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements and business objectives, designing and implementing tailored cloud solutions.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the customer's cloud journey.
- Create and lead the solution design to address customer business outcomes (CBO).
- Ensure proposed solutions are realistic, achievable, and optimize ProServe and/or our partners to maximize CBOs.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Share knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts.
- Design complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions to deliver customer business outcomes (CBOs).
- Collaborate with Account Managers and Shared Delivery Teams to ensure proposed solutions are realistic and achievable.
- Communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences in pre-sales environments.
Requirements
- 7+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience
- 5+ years of database (SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis) experience
- 7+ years of consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience
- 3+ years of cloud based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network and operating system experience
- 7+ years of external or internal customer facing, complex and large scale project management experience
- 5+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years of professional or military experience
- Current, active TS/SCI US Government Security Clearance
Skills
- Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies
- Experience in performance optimization and cost management for cloud environments
- Experience communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences in pre-sales environments
- Experience creating cloud solutions with/for DoD or national security customers

Base salary range for this position is listed below:
- USA, CO, Denver - 153,600.00 - 207,800.00 USD annually
- USA, FL, Tampa - 153,600.00 - 207,800.00 USD annually
- USA, VA, Arlington - 153,600.00 - 207,800.00 USD annually
- USA, VA, Herndon - 153,600.00 - 207,800.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Seattle - 153,600.00 - 207,800.00 USD annually
