Sr Project Manager - Industry

About the Role

Responsible for project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of project-related activities and resources for medium to large-sized projects. These projects may include equipment-only, suites of products, and full system turnkey projects in industrial, manufacturing, or related sectors such as Oil and Gas, Power Generation, Metals, or Mining.

This role impacts the team’s ability to achieve service, quality, and timeliness objectives with moderate autonomy and high levels of operational judgment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full project execution and provide direct or indirect leadership and/or management of project resources.
• Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and policy formulation.
• Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
• Stay informed of industry trends that may inform work.
• Use high-level judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in operational, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering areas.
• Assess the quality of information and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders.
• Offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and provide actionable recommendations.
• Use multiple internal and external sources to arrive at decisions.
• Lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, or complexity.
• Communicate difficult concepts and influence others’ perspectives on particular topics.
• Guide others to consider alternative viewpoints.
• Up to 50% local travel may be required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Project Manager, leading medium to large complex customer projects in the industrial/manufacturing sector, preferably within Oil and Gas, Power Generation, Metals, Mining, or related industries.
• PMP Certification or equivalent.

Desired Characteristics

• Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems for project tracking and financial management.
• Background in customer-facing roles, particularly in service delivery or project execution environments.
• Previous experience working in the Oil and Gas or other related industry segments.
• General technical understanding of power conversion systems, including automation and controls, and electrical power systems.
• Strong decision-making and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deliver on commitments.

Pay

For candidates applying to a U.S.-based position, the pay range is between $132,200.00 and $220,400.00. The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility includes a discretionary annual bonus.
