Sr Project Manager

Position: Senior Project Manager - Capital Engineering Location: Lake County, IL | Onsite 5 days per week - local candidates are preferred Duration: 24-36-month contract Pay Range $70.00 -$85.00 Join our Sterling Engineering team supporting a pharmaceutical manufacturer’s Global Engineering Services organization. We’re seeking a Senior Project Manager with 10+ years of U.S. experience to lead multiple concurrent capital engineering projects across Lake County facilities. This role requires someone who can take ownership of project scope, budgets, schedules, and execution while coordinating engineering teams, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Responsibilities Independently manage multiple capital engineering projects simultaneously.Own project scope, budgets, schedules, execution, and deliverables.Coordinate internal engineering teams, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.Manage project risks, scope changes, capital expenditures, and timelines.Lead projects through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover, as applicable.Communicate project status, resolve issues, and keep stakeholders aligned. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.Proven experience managing capital engineering projects.Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong project scheduling, budgeting, vendor management, and stakeholder coordination skills.Pharmaceutical, medical device, or regulated manufacturing experience.Experience with facilities, utilities, infrastructure, or manufacturing CapEx projects.Background working within an established corporate engineering organization.
