Sr. Project Manager

About the Role

This position is responsible for managing small to medium-scale projects in support of IT business objectives.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree, preferred
• Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
  • Four (4) years of experience in information systems without an Associate's degree, or 2 years of experience in information systems with an Associate's degree
  • Two (2) years of project management experience, including projects of at least six (6) months duration and $300,000 budget
  • Demonstrated pattern of growth in ability to lead others
  • Planning and organizational skills
  • Record of consistent, effective use of project management methodology
  • Demonstrated record of effective communication with project sponsors, ISD management, and project team members
  • Demonstrated positive relationships with customers

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership to small or medium projects
• Assists in leading large projects, under the supervision of a Lead Project Manager
• May manage several projects simultaneously
• Performs project management administrative tasks
• Assumes responsibility for the success of assigned projects or portions of projects
• Ensures safe care to patients, staff, and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, productivity, and quality of service
• Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff
• Demonstrates commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences
• Models Memorial Hermann’s service standards by providing safe, caring, personalized, and efficient experiences to patients and colleagues
