Sr. Project Manager
About the role
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead our most critical client projects. This role involves managing multiple warehouse automation projects simultaneously, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and scope requirements while maintaining strong relationships with clients and vendors.
Responsibilities
- Cook up detailed project plans and schedules, tracking progress and holding everyone accountable
- Coordinate internal teams and third-party vendors to hit project milestones, protect budgets, and deliver on commitments
- Identify and mitigate risks proactively, escalating issues to senior leadership when necessary
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendor partners, from the warehouse floor to the executive suite
- Track project performance against goals and make adjustments as needed
- Own project financials, meeting budget targets and making smart trade-offs when necessary
- Ensure project outcomes exceed stakeholder expectations, both internally and externally
- Surface and resolve issues quickly, escalating to senior leadership when needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (PMP certification is a plus)
- 7+ years of successful project management and progressive leadership experience in large, multi-site environments, preferably in e-commerce/retail distribution and fulfillment, software, automation, or logistics
- Composure under pressure, staying professional and focused on project goals even in high-stakes situations
- Ability to read and understand automated system design drawings and layouts
- A customer-first mindset with the ability to build trust and credibility at all levels, including with executives
- A self-starter attitude, action-oriented, decisive, and solutions-focused with positive energy
- Strong business acumen, financial, organizational, and project management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both client-facing and internal, written and verbal
- Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project
- Travel to KPI Centers of Excellence, corporate offices, and client project sites as needed (estimate 25%-50%)
