General Function
The Senior Manager, Project Management & Logistics Excellence serves as a strategic driver of transformation across EssilorLuxottica’s North American distribution network. As a senior leader within the Planning and Business Support team, this role owns a portfolio of high-complexity, cross-functional initiatives spanning contact lenses, single vision lenses, OTC, and accessories. Operating with significant autonomy, the Senior Manager architects and delivers end-to-end solutions in a volatile, AI-driven, and rapidly evolving market, while building and guiding a team of project managers.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
- Own and govern a portfolio of enterprise-level initiatives across EssilorLuxottica’s North American distribution network, ensuring alignment with business strategy and executive expectations.
- Define and enforce program governance frameworks, including risk management, milestone tracking, escalation protocols, and executive reporting cadences.
- Translate complex operational challenges into structured roadmaps with clear business cases, resource plans, and measurable KPIs.
- Serve as senior escalation point and thought partner for direct reports navigating complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Drive alignment and executive buy-in across organizational boundaries; present program updates and strategic recommendations to Director and VP-level leadership.
- Represent the PM function in cross-entity forums spanning Luxottica, EssilorUSA, Nassau OOGP, and related affiliates.
- Champion the evaluation and adoption of automation, AI, machine learning, and emerging logistics technologies to improve on-time delivery, order accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead pilots and proof-of-concept initiatives, establishing clear go/no-go criteria and scale-up frameworks.
- Leverage advanced business analytics and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) to generate predictive insights, quantify business value, and drive portfolio prioritization.
- Establish data standards and reporting frameworks that provide real-time visibility into operational performance across the distribution network.
- Lead root-cause analysis and structured problem-solving for critical operational failures and systemic risks.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related quantitative field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in project/program management within logistics, distribution, or supply chain environments, or senior lead PM role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree (MBA, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field).
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program management certification.
- Knowledge of Oracle, SAP, MAS500, or other major ERP/WMS platforms.
- Experience with distribution center automation, robotics, or next-generation logistics technologies.
- Background spanning both retail goods and custom-manufactured product portfolios (e.g., optical, pharma, or medical devices).
