Sr. Project Engineer – Missile Systems Lead

About the role

The Sr. Project Engineer – Missile Systems Lead position is available within Moog’s Defense Sector, specifically in the WNY Defense Engineering group. This role involves managing and coordinating complex programs, overseeing technical, cost, and schedule performance, and mentoring less experienced project engineers.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of technical, cost and schedule performance for development programs
• Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses
• Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports
• Set the direction for the technical engineering team, coordinate a cross-functional team of designers, drafters, analysts, technicians, and manufacturing engineers
• Mentoring and training of less experienced project engineers
• Propose volume development and costing support for Mission Enabling Services Group business unit
• Occasional travel to support customer meetings and business development needs

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
• 5 years of engineering experience
• 3 years of leading technical development projects or technical initiatives

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a DoD Contractor Security Clearance; currently holding a clearance is preferred
• Experience with new product development and lifecycle through production is preferred

Pay

Buffalo, NY: $120,000.00–$145,000.00 Annually
