Daily Responsibilities
- Lead and manage capital projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Cook up coordination with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and operations to ensure project objectives are met.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimations, and technical evaluations for proposed projects.
- Prepare and present project proposals, progress reports, and final project documentation to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, environmental, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Manage contractors and vendors, ensuring quality work and adherence to project specifications.
Requirements
- Must work very closely with the plant operating teams and be extremely comfortable in a plant environment on an initiative-taking basis.
- Must maintain an elevated level of sensitivity to plant operations – not waiting for calls – while achieving longer term improvement objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management or engineering within a chemical plant or similar industrial environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Proven track record of successfully managing small to medium capital projects from inception to completion.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and other relevant engineering guidelines and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
Pay
Commensurate with experience.

9/80 or 5/8’s shift schedule.
