Sr. Project Engineer

About the role

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in Effingham, IL. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a Transportation Project Manager to develop project and client management skills within an established, growing organization.

Responsibilities

• Serves as project manager and/or project engineer with autonomy for project-related tasks and as a designated client contact.
• Manages project schedules and ensures timely completion of projects.
• Aids in estimating, scoping, and marketing strategies for proposed projects.
• Prepares or modifies reports, specifications, plans, studies, permits, and designs for various projects.
• May delegate and/or supervise the work of other engineers' activities.
• Participates in business development efforts, attends client and organizational meetings, and makes presentations in support of the client and projects.
• Makes site visits to monitor progress and perform other duties as required by contract documents.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Civil, Transportation, or Traffic Engineer program.
• 8-20 years of transportation or traffic engineering experience.
• Preferred experience working on and with DOT, county, and/or local agency projects/clients.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Ability to manage and collaborate with Engineers, Technicians, Clients, and Administrators.
• Experience contributing to several projects simultaneously.
• Working experience with Microsoft Office, MicroStation, CONNECT, and ORD preferred.

Pay

$105,000 - $125,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity)
