About the company

Premier Project Management provides design, procurement, engineering development and project management services to hotels. About the position

Premier is seeking an experienced Senior Project Architect / Project Manager to lead complex, large‑scale renovation, adaptive reuse, and ground‑up architectural projects from initial planning through construction. The role serves as the day‑to‑day project leader, managing multidisciplinary teams of architects, interior designers, consultants, and other stakeholders. The preferred location is Dallas, Texas, with a hybrid schedule (in‑office Tuesday‑Thursday, remote Monday and Friday). Fully remote candidates will be considered and must be able to travel as needed for client meetings, site assessments, project coordination, and construction observations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead large and technically complex projects from feasibility and concept design through construction administration and closeout.
  • Develop and manage project work plans, schedules, deliverables, staffing requirements, and internal budgets.
  • Serve as the primary day‑to‑day contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead project meetings, document decisions, assign action items, and maintain accountability across the team.
  • Identify risks, unresolved decisions, scope gaps, and coordination issues early and develop practical resolution strategies.
  • Monitor project performance, staffing, profitability, and client satisfaction in partnership with firm leadership.
  • Manage multiple projects or phases concurrently when required.
  • Direct coordinated architectural documents from concept through construction documents, including code analysis, technical detailing, constructability, and compliance reviews.
  • Lead multidisciplinary consultant teams, establish scope and schedule expectations, and resolve conflicts or coordination gaps before documents are issued.
  • Mentor architects, designers, interior designers, BIM professionals, and emerging professionals; assign work, review deliverables, and support staff development.
  • Oversee construction administration: site observations, RFIs, submittals, change reviews, construction meetings, issue resolution, and project closeout.
  • Implement milestone reviews and quality‑control procedures while monitoring scope, technical quality, regulatory requirements, and potential additional services.
  • Utilize Revit, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Office, and AI‑enabled tools to improve coordination, documentation, quality control, research, and project communication.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited college or university.
  • Approximately 12 or more years of progressively responsible architectural experience.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, accessibility requirements, life‑safety principles, construction methods, and existing‑building conditions.
  • Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu.
  • Working knowledge of AI‑enabled applications and their responsible use in architectural practice.
  • Strong written, verbal, organizational, leadership, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and make well‑reasoned decisions in a fast‑paced project environment.
  • Ability to travel periodically for client meetings, building assessments, project coordination, and construction observations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current architectural license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • NCARB certification or ability to obtain reciprocal licensure.
  • Hospitality and multifamily project experience.
  • Experience with high‑rise buildings, mixed‑use developments, and complex occupancy conversions.
  • Experience coordinating hotel brand standards and hospitality operations.
  • Familiarity with the International Existing Building Code and alternative compliance approaches for existing buildings.
  • Experience working with the National Park Service, State Historic Preservation Offices, historic preservation consultants, and local preservation authorities.

Attributes for Success

  • Strong technical judgment combined with practical project‑management skills.
  • Ownership of project outcomes and proactive stakeholder coordination.
  • Mentorship and development of team members.
  • Upholding Premier's standards for design, documentation, client service, and professionalism.

Physical Requirements (In‑Office Role)

  • Ability to work in a standard office environment with prolonged periods of sitting (6‑8 hours/day) and occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, or carrying items.
  • Frequent fine‑motor use for keyboarding, mouse operation, writing, and operating office equipment.
  • Ability to lift and/or move 10–25 pounds as needed (e.g., files, office supplies).
