About the role

Amazon Prime Air is revolutionizing delivery through autonomous drone technology, aiming to deliver packages to customers in 30 minutes or less. We are seeking an experienced Sr. Program Manager to lead complex site launches from pre-construction through operational readiness. In this role, you will own the end-to-end launch plan for assigned sites, manage risks and dependencies, and drive continuous improvement of the launch process as Prime Air scales its revolutionary delivery system.

You will translate business intent into ambiguous, complex real-world environments, proactively identify and mitigate risks, and engage stakeholders across the organization to keep sites on plan while balancing competing priorities. This role requires sound judgment in ambiguous environments, strong business acumen, and an exceptional bias for action.

This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon's ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

  • Lead cross-functional business and operations teams, aligning timelines and dependencies across internal and external stakeholders
  • Report program status, risk, and change control to leadership with clear, decision-ready communication
  • Support up to 50% travel to launch sites and internal meetings

Requirements

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • 3+ years of field site launch experience, with comfort navigating active construction sites and interacting directly with GCs and trades
