Sr Program Finance Specialist - Scottsdale, AZ

As a Sr Program Finance Specialist, you'll prepare ad-hoc analyses to support contract and program analysis and special projects as assigned. Utilizing your arsenal of skills and talents, you'll engage directly with program management to analyze and understand financial performance and report on program and contractual risks while managing funding issues. You will initiate, review, and approve invoices, respond to customer invoice inquiries, and monitor accounts receivables and cash contributions, ensuring timely collection of cash. We'll rely on you to monitor and ensure ASC 606 Revenue Recognition and Earnings Rate Reviews are in compliance in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and GDMS policies, procedures and requirements. Oracle EPM knowledge preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ad-hoc analyses to support contract and program analysis and special projects
- Analyze and understand financial performance and report on program and contractual risks
- Manage funding issues
- Initiate, review, and approve invoices
- Respond to customer invoice inquiries
- Monitor accounts receivables and cash contributions, ensuring timely collection of cash
- Monitor and ensure ASC 606 Revenue Recognition and Earnings Rate Reviews compliance with GAAP and GDMS policies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business equivalent plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree
- Experience in a government contracting environment
- Knowledge of Truth In Negotiations Act, Cost Accounting Standards, Federal Acquisition Regulation, government accounting, Sarbanes-Oxley Act, and Revenue Recognition ASC 606
- In-depth knowledge of General Ledger Accounting, Rates and Compliance, and Cost Proposal functions
- U.S. citizenship is required
Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation
- Ability to analyze data and reconcile financial accounts
- Oracle EPM knowledge
- Experience managing financials for cost plus and cost plus incentive contracts
- Proficiency in financial performance analysis, risk identification, and reporting

Pay
Target salary range: USD $80,000.00/Yr. - USD $85,000.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
Schedule
This position is on-site with the option to flex moving forward. Flexible schedules with every other Friday off work, if desired (9/80 schedule).
