Sr. Production Technology Underwriter (Remote)

Analyze customers’ business information and claims history
Monitor clients’ activities to change policies as risks evolve
Evaluate acceptability of individual risks and determine overall acceptability of risk, coverage terms and pricing
Work with agents/brokers to develop productive and profitable relationships
Ensure compliance with company underwriting guidelines and insurance regulators
Manage accounts for assigned territory
Handle new and renewal submissions and endorsement requests from agents/ producers
Document underwriting files to support analysis, coverage terms and pricing
Operate according to underwriting authority as delegated by manager
Lead renewal business initiatives for territory including execution of pricing, premium retention, coverage analysis, loss control needs, claim service needs and account stewardship
Provide clear instruction and guidance to underwriting support staff and operations staff
Mentor & coach junior underwriters and underwriting support staff
Perform other functions as assigned

3 to 5 years of experience in a commercial underwriting experience
Knowledge of commercial lines underwriting standards and practices along with rating/pricing methods
Experience selling and/or marketing insurance products & services
Strong customer service skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical and decision-making skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Strong interpersonal skills
Presentation skills
Excellent PC skills and a working knowledge of Windows environment
A valid driver’s license and carry vehicle insurance coverage
