Responsibilities
- Support chemical manufacturing and chemical analysis on products, raw materials, or in-process materials samples in alignment with the company's quality program.
- Perform and support laboratory processes, testing, and production activities to meet departmental objectives.
- Conduct laboratory activities, including pH measurements, operation of balances and scales, pipetting and solution preparation/mixing, calibration of instrumentation, operation of analytical equipment (e.g., viscometer), set-up and use of complex laboratory equipment and glassware, interpretation and documentation of test results, ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards, including proper chemical handling, waste management procedures, good manufacturing practices (GMP), and safe handling of flammable, corrosive, and hazardous materials.
- Utilize Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to monitor processes, troubleshoot issues, and guide others in system usage.
- Execute product builds for commercial sale and use.
- Provide training and support to product builders in laboratory procedures, processes, and standard work.
- Maintain ownership and accuracy of manufacturing and test data.
- Support and lead Lean initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Use SAP for operational transactions and data entry (intermediate level).
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting (intermediate level).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external contacts to exchange information and support business objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Requirements
- Complete knowledge of job responsibilities, with strong understanding of business concepts, procedures, and practices; thorough knowledge of functional area fundamentals; and working knowledge of related disciplines.
- Ability to perform non-routine assignments requiring interpretation of established procedures, independent judgment in troubleshooting processes, and identification and recommendation of process improvements.
- Strong attention to detail and accountability for production and testing accuracy recognizing that errors may impact customer relationships, materials, or equipment.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills including frequent interaction across departments, occasional interaction with external contacts.
- Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and effectively communicate technical concepts.
- Advanced proficiency in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES); intermediate proficiency in SAP navigation and Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a technical certification program in chemistry or a related field.
- Experience in a similar role, preferably in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology setting.
- Knowledge of GMP and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Pay
The Base Pay Range For This Position Is $45,070 - $61,974. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Schedule
The shift for this position is onsite: M-F 4pm-12:30am.
