About the role
The Sr. Production Manager supports the programs and venues of the Campus Performances and Events Office (CPEO), focusing on the amphitheater and broader Arts and Activation initiatives. This role oversees sound, lighting, and video services, manages operational facets of the facility, and supervises a student technical team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor budgetary expenditures for theater productions.
- Train and mentor student and career staff in technical operations.
- Manage and train student technicians in the safe use and maintenance of audio, visual, and lighting equipment.
- Support other areas of CPEO, including events and traditions across campus.
- Provide technical expertise and coordination for a wide range of events.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations and event execution.
Requirements
- Mastery level knowledge in multiple technical theater production areas.
- Demonstrated organizational and project management skills.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience developing budgets and operating spreadsheet software.
- Knowledge of University and collective bargaining policies.
- Working knowledge of financial and personnel administration.
- Ability to analyze information and make optimal decisions.
- Problem recognition, avoidance, and resolution skills.

$73,800 - $131,200 annually, prorated if appointment percentage is less than 100%. Hourly equivalent: $35.34 - $62.84.
