About the role
This Senior Product Marketing Manager will support the strategy and execution for how Amazon's scientific breakthroughs are communicated, celebrated, and activated — internally and externally. The role focuses on bridging world-class researchers and the broader Amazon ecosystem to accelerate product innovation, strengthen Amazon's reputation as a research destination, and drive measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Events Strategy & Management
- Own end-to-end planning and execution of internal and external science events and showcases.
- Drive continuous improvement in event strategy and business impact through playbook development, measurement, and feedback loops.
- Ensure operational excellence across all events through rigorous project management, risk mitigation, quality control, and contingency planning.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with cross-organizational events teams.
- Develop and manage event budgets with demonstrated fiscal responsibility and ROI optimization.
- Manage relationships with vendors.
- Define audience segmentation and develop tailored engagement strategies for researchers, engineers, business leaders, and external partners.
- Marketing & Communications
- Develop domain expertise and community connections to support speaker selection, amplification, and reputational opportunities.
- Organize cross-company mechanisms to drive collaboration and amplification of science internally and externally.
- Operational Excellence
- Build project management best practices to support and scale team excellence.
- Monitor the science marketing and events landscape to surface opportunities and risks relevant to Amazon's scientific communities.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience.
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts, and pivot tables).
- Experience building, executing, and scaling cross-functional marketing programs.
- Experience leading go-to-market for consumer software or hardware product launches.
- Experience managing events/meetings in a global company.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using SQL or other analytical tools for conducting data analysis.
- Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting.
Pay
- USA, CA, Santa Clara: $157,100.00 - $212,600.00 USD annually
- USA, CA, Santa Barbara: $142,800.00 - $193,200.00 USD annually
- USA, NY, New York: $157,100.00 - $212,600.00 USD annually
- USA, VA, Arlington: $142,800.00 - $193,200.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Seattle: $142,800.00 - $193,200.00 USD annually
