Our client, a leading biotech organization based in South San Francisco, CA, has a contract opening for a Sr. Product Manager, Patient Consent Management. In this high-impact role, you will serve as the connective tissue between our business teams, Consent Management Platform (CMP) vendor(s), and cross-functional stakeholders in patient strategy, marketing, medical, compliance, legal, and data governance. Important Details: 12-month contract opportunity with possibility to extendSouth San Francisco, CA- Fully Hybrid (3 days/week)Monday-Friday (40 hours/week)Pay rate range approved: $80-94/HR, depending on experienceJob Description:We are seeking an experienced product strategist to lead the definition, governance, and execution of the patient consent product across our enterprise platform ecosystem.This person will serve as the connective tissue between our business teams, Consent Management Platform (CMP) vendor(s), and cross-functional stakeholders in patient strategy, marketing, medical, compliance, legal, and data governance.This is not a technical implementation role. This is a define, govern, align, and drive role.You will establish what consent management means operationally across our patient ecosystem, drive platform capability decisions, map consent workflows to business requirements, and facilitate alignment across stakeholders with competing needs and risk profiles.Responsibilities:Execute and Operationalize the CMP ImplementationOwn the business-side implementation roadmap for CMP deployment: translate requirements into go-live milestones, identify business readiness gaps, and coordinate with IT/technical teams on delivery timelinesRefine and optimize the consent management requirements framework for CMP deployment: document consent workflows, data requirements, and integration needs to inform configuration and testingLead business user adoption and change management: develop training materials, run workshops with patient strategy and marketing teams, and establish support processes for ongoing CMP operationsManage CMP configuration and testing: work with the vendor to configure consent workflows, question sets, and data mappings; validate that the platform behaves as intended before go-liveEstablish post-launch governance and monitoring: define how the business monitors CMP performance, escalates issues, and manages ongoing vendor relationships and updatesDrive Cross-Functional Governance and AlignmentManage, in partnership with Omnichannel Product Manager, consent governance across stakeholders such as patient strategy, compliance, legal, IT, data science, and marketingRepresent business needs in technical architecture discussions; represent technical constraints in business requirement conversationsCoordinate with compliance and legal to ensure consent workflows meet regulatory requirements (CCPA, HIPAA, therapeutic area-specific regulations)Establish consent analytics: enforcement success, regulatory audit readinessEstablish audit and reporting: how consent decisions are logged, retained, and reported for compliance verificationHelp Shape First-Party Data and Consent StandardsPartner with patient strategy, patient marketing, CX and data teams to develop first-party data collection strategy: which data points matter and how to design optimal consent experiencesEstablish governance standards for how consent is collected, stored, and enforced—create clear playbooks and escalation paths when standards conflict with business prioritiesCommunicate standards effectively across patient strategy, marketing, CX, IT, and legal teams through documentation, workshops, and ongoing stakeholder educationStakeholder Management in a Matrixed EnvironmentOperate as the clear voice of consent management across patient strategy, marketing, medical, IT, compliance, legal, commercial, and data teamsProvide clear recommendations with business and risk rationaleMinimum candidate qualifications and experience:8+ years of experience in product management, program management, operations, or strategy in pharma, healthcare, or regulated industriesDeep understanding of consent management requirements in healthcare: HIPAA, CCPA, state privacy lawsStrong operational and process design skills—can map workflows, identify decision points, define SLAs and governanceExceptional cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management, especially in matrixed environmentsSelf-starter and ability to work with minimal supervisionComfort with ambiguity and evolving requirements; proven ability to establish clarity and drive decisions forwardBachelor's degreeApplicants must be authorized to work in the United States.Preferred Skills:Experience with consent management platformsPharma experiencePrior experience managing patient strategy, patient engagement, or patient access programs (understanding the business operations that drive consent needs)Experience with multi-brand or portfolio-level governance APPLY NOW!
