As the leading AI platform for accounting firms, Suralink serves more than 50% of the top 100 enterprise accounting firms in the United States and has over 800,000 users globally. Our mission is to empower the people we serve to redefine the meaning of efficiency in the accounting technology industry. Our award-winning SaaS platform was built for CPA firms, providing a simple, secure way to manage audit, tax, and advisory engagements. Recognized for growth, innovation, and culture, we foster a highly collaborative, remote-first environment where exceptional, motivated professionals can make a meaningful impact.

About the role

As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll lead design for high-impact 0→1 initiatives—new products and intelligent experiences powered by large language models (LLMs). You’ll also help evolve our design system into a scalable, token-driven foundation that supports rapid experimentation and high-quality delivery across teams.

You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and AI teams to shape what trust-driven, AI-assisted workflows can look and feel like for our customers. You’ll move fluidly between discovery and execution: understanding user pain points, mapping new possibilities, and crafting intuitive, trustworthy, and efficient experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end design for new AI-powered features—from problem framing to polished UI.
  • Translate complex accounting and audit workflows into clear, elegant interactions that feel effortless.
  • Prototype intelligent agent experiences that blend automation, context awareness, and transparency.
  • Collaborate with AI and data teams to shape conversational flows, confidence indicators, and user feedback loops.
  • Balance innovation with accountability—ensuring AI-driven features enhance trust, not undermine it.
  • Audit, define, and evolve Suralink’s design system for scale, accessibility, and design-to-code alignment.
  • Introduce design tokens, variants, and documentation that support multi-product consistency.
  • Partner with engineering to establish governance, release cadence, and component versioning.
  • Create and maintain Zeroheight / Storybook documentation to foster adoption across teams.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience designing for complex SaaS products, with significant 0→1 or platform work.
  • Proven experience designing AI or data-driven features (or a strong interest in LLM-enabled interfaces).
  • Deep mastery of Figma (Auto Layout, variants, variables, libraries, tokens).
  • Strong portfolio showing systems thinking and ability to ship elegant, cohesive experiences.
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineering and product leadership to shape roadmaps.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and commitment to inclusive design.
  • Ability to work effectively in high ambiguity, finding clarity with incomplete information.
  • Skilled in risk-based decision making and thinking through effects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Subject matter expertise in Audit or Tax is a bonus.
  • Experience with prompt-based interaction design or conversational UI.
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks, design tokens, or semantic versioning.
  • Previous work in accounting, fintech, or compliance-driven B2B SaaS.
  • Passion for designing AI experiences that prioritize trust, clarity, and user agency.

Skills

  • Visual Design & Brand: The ability to execute beautiful, high-quality visual design that strengthens the brand.
  • UX & Patterns: The skill of architecting user experiences that are intuitive, consistent, and effective.
  • Process & Toolkit: The efficiency and craft in using the right tools and processes to turn ideas into reality.
  • Customer Obsession: The ability to deeply understand, empathize with, and advocate for the customer through research and data.
  • Product Strategy & Experiments: The ability to align design work with business goals, using data to guide decisions.
  • Communication & Fluency: How effectively a designer shares their work, provides feedback, and works with cross-functional partners.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: The ability to guide projects, mentor others, and elevate the design practice within the organization.
  • Team & Company Impact: The influence a designer has outside of their core project through collaboration, recruiting, knowledge sharing, process improvements, and helping the organization deliver better products.

Values

  • Customer Obsessed: We seek to understand those we serve deeply and are committed to serving them better than anyone else.
  • Passionately Motivated: We care about what we do, which drives us to work hard, show grit, and go above and beyond to achieve great outcomes.
  • Constantly Improving: We are eager to learn and grow. Challenges are opportunities to innovate and enhance our solutions.
  • Team Focused: We know that our success is built together. We support one another and celebrate team achievements.
  • Highly Reliable: We demonstrate good judgment, honor our commitments, and are accountable for our results.

Benefits

  • Remote-friendly policy
  • Medical, vision, and dental insurance
  • Flexible PTO policy and ten paid holidays
  • Parental leave
  • Professional development allowance
  • Community involvement
