Key job responsibilities

  • Conceive, design, drive and develop innovative hardware products and technology architectures.
  • Serve as technical lead for overall product design system architecture and layout, including development of 3D CAD models, MCO drawings, engineering analysis, prototyping, testing, technology development, and schematics generation.
  • Work closely within a multi-disciplinary cross functional teams, including technology teams (i.e. display, optics, audio, sensors, camera, wireless, material science, etc.), industrial design, product management, manufacturing, and software, to develop products and technologies.
  • Identify and solve complex technical engineering challenges and risks. If needed, leads a team to navigate through the solution implementation process.
  • Develops test methodologies, risk mitigation, verification and validation plan, and design compliance strategies
  • Leads in interfacing with engineering, business and operation leaders to drive new product development programs from product concept to mass production.
  • Leader in fostering a culture of technical engineering excellence across the organization
  • Role model mentor across multiple levels of HW design engineer function from various disciplines
  • Develop and documents theory of operation for engineering system and architecture
  • Support engineering, design and operational efficiency efforts (i.e. cost reduction, sustaining, sustainability, second source, risk mitigation, etc.)
  • Lead vendor technology engagement efforts and relevant technology scoping that aligns with Amazon flywheel goals.
  • Provide regular status update to internal partners and leadership team

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures
  • Expert knowledge in CAD systems and complex assembly management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
  • Experience with the project management of technical projects

Pay & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $137,300.00 - $185,700.00 USD annually (USA, WA, Seattle)
