Sr Principal Systems Engineer

We are seeking a Sr Principal Systems Engineer to join our team in Northridge, CA. This role requires onsite presence 3 days per week with 2 days remote.

About the Role

As a Sr Principal Systems Engineer, you will perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, evaluate alternatives including cost and risk, supportability, and analyses for total systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external clients to drive innovation in diabetes care technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation at all levels of total system product lifecycle, including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
• Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions, acknowledging technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• Conduct functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• Act as a technical specialist, advancing existing technology or introducing new technology and therapies.
• Formulate, deliver, and manage projects while working with stakeholders to achieve desired results.
• Mentor colleagues and direct the work of lower-level professionals.
• Lead R&D, systems, or initiatives related to new technologies or therapies from design to implementation.

Requirements

• Mastery-level knowledge in a specialty area and working knowledge of several other areas, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
• Deep knowledge of project management.
• Baccalaureate degree (or equivalent for degrees earned outside the U.S.) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

Pay

Salary ranges for U.S. locations (excluding Puerto Rico) are $164,000 – $278,000 USD. For roles in California, Seattle, WA, Washington D.C., Boston, MA, and New York City, the range is $164,000 – $221,000 USD. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, certifications, skills, market conditions, internal equity, and geographic location.
