Responsibilities
- Lead the technical strategy for software across multiple domains
- Interface directly with customers to solve technical challenges
- Present complex strategies to senior leadership including VPs and the CEO
- Collaborate with Principal Engineers to execute technical roadmaps
- Identify and implement AI applications to enhance efficiency
- Champion software best practices such as CI/CD and scalable systems
- Mentor developers up to the Principal SDE level while driving operational excellence
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
- 15+ years of experience in writing and deploying software in production environments
- 7+ years developing distributed backend systems using AWS
- Strong analytical skills for complex, ambiguous problems
- Exceptional communication skills, particularly in presentations to senior leadership
- Experience mentoring software engineers, including Principal Engineers
- Passion for aerospace and alignment with the company’s mission
