About the role

The selected engineer will perform as a member of an interdisciplinary team in a key effort to develop novel and innovative solutions to advanced technical problems. The successful engineer will contribute to the overall development of a mission planning subsystem, including developing functional architectures, analyzing performance, developing and managing requirements and interfaces, and verifying/validating all allocated requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support development and integration of mission planning subsystems and components to meet program objectives
  • Requirements development, analysis, maturation and implementation, translating customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
  • Perform performance and functional analyses
  • Performing risk analysis and developing mitigation plans and tracking to closure
  • Collaborate with engineers and program stakeholders
  • Developing and maintaining supplier documentation, performance-based specifications, and statements of work
  • Technical leadership of program strategic partners and suppliers, including development, acquisition, acceptance, qualification, system integration and test support
  • Support technical discussions with the customer and having daily interaction with management, external personnel, customers, and various sub teams

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 8 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 6 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. AND 4 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
  • Experience with system modeling and requirements management tools (Cameo, DOORS, etc.), developing/maturing requirements, and tracing requirements through various levels
  • Familiar with Software Development/Management and Software Factories
  • Experience in supplier/subcontract management
  • Experience with developing supplier documentation, performance-based specifications, and statements of work
  • Able to review documents from the supplier’s development effort and support supplier technical interchange meetings and design review

Qualifications

  • Must have an Active US Government Secret Clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00
