About the role
Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to join our team in Oklahoma City, OK. The role involves coordination and collaboration with diverse engineering design teams to provide imaginative, technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems in establishing and managing the technical baseline in support of review milestones. The candidate will execute tasks in system engineering functions, requiring systems thinking and working knowledge of the full development life-cycle processes that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. The position requires strong leadership in coordinating with multiple teams and managing tasks.
This position is contingent upon verification of DoD Secret clearance and obtainment of Special Access Program (SAP) clearance. Relocation assistance may be available. Travel is required, up to 10% of the time.
Requirements
- 9 years of experience with a STEM Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 7 years of experience with a STEM Master's degree in a related field; OR 13 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Active DoD Secret security clearance with a background investigation date within 6 years.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Engineering Physics.
- Master’s Degree.
- Experience working on military aircraft or spacecraft systems.
- Experience in developing, managing, and decomposing requirements.
- Experience in system architecture, CONOPs, or model-based system engineering.
- Experience in ICD development and integration.
- Demonstrated communication and technical writing skills.
- Proven ability to brief technical presentations to stakeholders.
- MBSE and Agile Systems Engineering experience.
- Experience with DOORS, Confluence, and JIRA.
- Scripting experience.
- RF/Radio/Communication experience (Line of Sight and Beyond Line of Sight).
- Tactical Data Link experience.
- Radio Navigation experience.
- Network engineering experience.
Pay
Primary level salary range: $116,300.00 - $174,500.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions when determining base salary offers. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
