Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Sr. Principal Engineer Electronics for an onsite position in Oklahoma City, OK. This role involves developing and executing programs, with a focus on radar avionics subsystems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and execute the Statement of Work (SOW) as a Responsible Engineer (RE) for Radar Avionics Subsystem(s).
  • Manage program requirements to ensure supplier compliance with program and avionics design, test, documentation, and hardware requirements for Avionics Weapons subsystems.
  • Document designs using detailed schematics, diagrams, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with subcontract engineers and stakeholders to implement subsystem performance and environmental requirements.
  • Develop design solutions for obsolete hardware.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline and 8 years of related engineering experience.
  • Experience designing, configuring, and installing avionics Radar subsystems.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP) within a reasonable timeframe as determined by the company.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and 4 years of related engineering experience.
  • Experience designing, configuring, and installing avionics subsystems.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP).
