Sr Powerbuilder Developer

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the IRMS legacy system and developing interfaces between GentTax and IRMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide analysis, support, and maintenance for the IRMS legacy system.
• Develop and implement the GenTax IRMS interface under the direction of Virginia Department of Taxation management.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplined team to clarify, analyze, and assess requirements.
• Contribute to detailed design and architectural discussions and customer requirements sessions.
• Work independently and collaboratively on a multi-disciplined project team in an Agile development environment.
• Develop clear and maintainable code.
• Experience using software project tracking tools such as Azure DevOps.

Requirements

• Experience developing Powerbuilder applications using PowerBuilder 12.5 or higher.
• Hands-on experience using Relational Databases, such as Oracle 19C or higher or MySQL or similar.
• Experience developing interfaces to FileNet application.
• Experience developing interface to REST APIs.

Skills

• Technical knowledge in designing, developing, and maintaining TAX processing and revenue management systems.
• Product knowledge of IRMS system or functional knowledge.
