Major Duties
- Manages investment activities for large and sensitive high net worth personal trusts and individual investment portfolios.
- Develops, recommends, and directs the execution of programs to achieve investment objectives for specific individual clients.
- Analyzes and plans the overall investment strategy, revising as necessary based on changing goals and objectives and client needs.
- Maintains an influential presence within the local client-facing team, communicating client requirements and coordinating portfolio activities.
- Demonstrates mastery in new investment strategies, tools, and capabilities, engaging with national investment and goals-driven wealth management practices.
- Engages in thought leadership through publications, educational opportunities, and practice-hosted symposiums and events.
- Adheres to best practices as measured by the PM Dashboard and related reporting.
- Executes initiatives, new capability rollouts, and required training.
- Provides continuous feedback on areas for improvement to leadership.
- Serves on standing investment services committees and participates in special projects as needed.
- Leads others to solve complex problems.
- Uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions.
- Impacts the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives.
Knowledge
Knowledge of investment and portfolio management theory, accounting and financial principles, associated investment strategies and instruments, and characteristics of various marketplaces is required. Decision-making, sales, and negotiating skills are also necessary to contribute to the market’s revenue generation and guide sensitive or difficult situations through to agreement. Specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field is required.
Experience
A minimum of 8 to 12 years of investment experience, which may include research, is required. This experience should demonstrate consistent long-term investment performance meeting objectives. Leadership of functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity may be expected.
