Sr. Platform Engineer

About the role

Cargill is seeking a Sr. Platform Engineer to design and operate scalable, secure platforms that power global manufacturing and food production. You will build automated, cloud-native infrastructure, implement CI/CD pipelines, and enhance reliability, observability, and performance across critical systems. Partnering with engineering, operations, and security teams, you'll set platform standards, resolve complex incidents, and drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure platform services supporting manufacturing and supply chain operations
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using IaC and CI/CD pipelines
• Optimize reliability, performance, and observability of production systems
• Collaborate with development, operations, and manufacturing teams to define platform standards
• Implement security, compliance, and data protection best practices
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and lead root cause analysis
• Guide adoption of cloud-native and containerization technologies
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical roadmap and architecture

• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi)
• CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps)
• Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Linux system administration
