Sr Plant Manager

About the role

You will provide leadership and direction for a team of entry-level production employees to ensure customer demand is consistently met. Coordinate daily production activities and distribution requirements, including local delivery routes and shuttle scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Lead reliability, compliance, quality, and safety initiatives to meet governmental and environmental regulations
• Ensure employees are trained and committed to Linde Safety and Quality systems, working closely with the Compliance Manager to coordinate training
• Monitor production performance and manpower levels to maintain efficiency, anticipate problems, and develop contingencies
• Identify operational challenges and lead improvement efforts related to production processes, shift scheduling, and training; report progress and findings to plant management
• Manage and escalate equipment and product quality issues, maintaining adequate inventory of production supplies
• Support 5S and Lean Projects and hazardous waste activities, continuously identifying ways to reduce plant operating costs through Operational Excellence strategies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial plant environment
• 5+ years of experience in Driver, operations, distribution or quality roles
• At least 3 years of experience leading and developing employees
• Willingness to work in a unionized environment is required
