Responsibilities
- Owns daily operation and maintenance of site utilities, including steam & hydronic boiler systems, air cooled and water-cooled chillers, high voltage power distribution, water and waste water treatment systems, building management systems and controls.
- Maintain buildings and grounds.
- Act as back-up support to the Department Manager of Facilities.
- Lead cross-functional project teams to design, build, commission (validate) small to mid-sized facility and utility improvement and construction capital projects.
- Develop, manage, and track project time-lines and project capital budgets.
- Maintain all site-mandated cGMP and safety requirements during all phases of construction and qualification.
- Write and execute validation and commissioning protocols.
- Produce and maintain documentation related to the project, including: change controls, PO requests, project schedules, sketches and drawings to assist in project execution.
- Serve as a member of the Change Control Committee to evaluate proposed change activity at the plant.
- Manage day-to-day activities and work assignments in support of site goals and objectives.
- Train and develop junior engineers to increase their skills and abilities.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in an engineering/technical discipline, preferably Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering, with 10 years of facilities related experience; or an associate's degree in a technical discipline with 15 years of facilities related experience.
- Strong technical leadership, technical writing and communication skills, the ability to understand and interpret technical drawings, and proficiency with a currently supported version of AutoCAD ® , MS Excel and Word.
- The ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment is necessary for success.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage effectively in a fast-paced environment, working under tight timelines.
- Proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation are necessary for success.
Pay
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000.00.
