About the role
This position supports the month-end accounting process at Winland Foods, assisting the Plant Finance and Controllership teams with maintaining the integrity of financial data and ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of the month-end close and financial statements. The role provides analytical support to business units through accounting systems, audits, and month-end reporting, and assists with Financial Shared Services, Engineering, and Operations Reporting. Reports to the Area Finance Manager over the Condiments Organization.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 1st shift, with flexibility to support 24/7 manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Drive a timely close process, accurate financials, and strong internal controls.
- Lead tasks/projects related to profitability, budgeting, audit, and capital.
- Perform month-end work including preparation of journal entries, account analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and reports.
- Assist team members with complex tasks and escalated issues related to month-end work.
- Review and analyze accounting work to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Assist with reporting monthly financial results.
- Participate in ongoing Sarbanes-Oxley compliance reviews and maintenance.
- Additional tasks as assigned based on business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience; manufacturing experience preferred.
- CPA preferred.
- Demonstrated track record of accomplishing objectives and solving problems.
- Highly motivated, results-driven, and self-starting individual.
- Process improvement experience preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Knowledge of financial systems and multiple ERPs (SAP preferred).
- Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Teams).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate at all organizational levels.
- Occasional travel to business meetings may be required.

Pay
$73,000 – $109,000 annually with additional bonus potential.
