About the role

The role involves managing a team of researchers and overseeing projects related to advanced data analytics and machine learning applications in healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and implementation of complex data models and algorithms.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate data analytics solutions into clinical workflows.
  • Lead project teams in the analysis and interpretation of large-scale healthcare datasets.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including clinicians, IT professionals, and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations regarding data handling and privacy.

Requirements

  • A PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in leading data science initiatives and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data mining techniques.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data and its application in clinical settings.
  • Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and data visualization tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration across departments.
  • Qualifications

    • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
    • Knowledge of HIPAA and other relevant healthcare regulations.

    Skills

    • Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL.
    • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark.
    • Understanding of cloud computing platforms like AWS or Google Cloud.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
