Sr Optical Coater/Thin Film/Optical Surfaces - 2nd Shift - Orlando, FL

About the role

Responsible for coating and processing optical surfaces and thin films under second shift conditions in Orlando, Florida. Utilizes advanced equipment to ensure precision and quality in manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain optical coating machines and related equipment.
• Perform quality control checks on coated surfaces to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Document all work activities and adhere to safety protocols.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in optical coating or similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of optical principles and materials science.
• Basic knowledge of metrology tools and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed.
