Our Senior Operations Managers are responsible for all budgetary, people development, and operations objectives at the site. This role oversees all aspects of operations or functions, including managing and leading a team of Operations and Area Managers, coaching, and mentoring to ensure performance objectives are met.
Responsibilities
- Drives creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Lean initiatives to enable the functional area and the Fulfillment Center to meet and exceed business plan goals.
- Responsible for the overall safety, quality, performance, and customer experience of either Inbound or Outbound operations.
- Sets and clarifies requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers.
- Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds Ops Managers accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments.
- Leverages Operations and Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas, rolling them into improvement plans for the functional area.
- Takes proactive steps to ensure best practices are shared across all departments, shifts, and the network.
- Works closely with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT, and other Sr. Operations Managers) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.
- Experience with the staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, and terminations.
- 7+ years of direct management experience, including a salaried workforce, in a manufacturing, production, or distribution environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in fast-paced environments and managing workload during times of stress or escalated activity.
- Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments while maintaining commitment to deadlines.
- Experience handling confidential information and maintaining professionalism in dealing with senior executives.
- Experience hiring candidates, mentoring, and developing employees in their careers.
- Master's degree or above in Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Pay
Base salary range: $135,000.00 – $182,700.00 USD annually.
