About the role
The Diagnostics Organization's mission is to be the industry trailblazer in ZEV diagnostics leveraging our smart vehicle ecosystem to delight our customers as they fearlessly (and faultlessly) enjoy their next adventure. We achieve our mission by developing the most advanced integrated diagnostics system in the world, capable of proactively monitoring, analyzing, and learning from our fleets throughout their lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the “subject matter expert” within one or more vehicle sub-systems driving diagnostic system development of that domain’s onboard diagnostic (OBD) system.
- Serve as the primary interface between the diagnostic organization and your domain’s system engineering team, associated controls or software team, manufacturing organization, and service organization.
- Serve as the feature champion for all OBD features within your domain, responsible for appropriate planning and coordination of your features’ development to fit within the broader program development plans.
- Define diagnostic system requirements for your domain based on stakeholder inputs and DFMEA.
- Identify fault detection mechanisms and develop diagnostic monitoring strategies for your domain including detailed requirements definition, algorithm definition, and architectural design.
- Work with the software, test and integration, and calibration teams to ensure correct implementation of all diagnostic system requirements.
- Ensure complete verification of requirements and architectural design to ensure correct system functionality.
- Intake feedback from the manufacturing plant, service, reliability, quality, and development to facilitate continued diagnostic system improvement and drive the update of requirements and implementation.
- Support technical integration of your domain at the manufacturing plant as relates to the onboard diagnostic system.
- Support the realization of your diagnostic features in the manufacturing and service environments, including providing necessary requirements and support to diagnostic tooling teams.
- Perform above tasks in support of all programs currently in the field and in future development across all of RV Tech’s platforms.
- Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and best practice methodologies.
