Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and develop anesthesia care plans.
- Administer and monitor anesthesia for surgical, procedural, and diagnostic cases.
- Manage airways, hemodynamics, pain control, and perioperative patient care.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe patient outcomes.
- Document care accurately and comply with regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, education, and professional development activities.
- Provide anesthesia services across multiple UCSF clinical locations as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduation from a school of anesthesia accredited by the Council of Accreditation of Schools of Anesthesia.
- At a minimum a master's degree from an accredited Nurse Anesthetist program.
- Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and possession of the legal requirements to practice as a Registered Nurse as determined by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
- Current National Certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists.
- Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
