About the role
The Senior Network Engineer position is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of enterprise network infrastructure across Production, Staging, and Development environments. This role provides senior-level leadership in network architecture, security, and operational resilience, ensuring highly available, secure, and scalable connectivity across the enterprise.
This is a work-from-home role, but eligible candidates must be located in either the Greenville, WI or Mansfield, OH markets.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, deployment, and support of enterprise network infrastructure, including Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switching platforms.
- Administer and support Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs) and enterprise WLAN environments.
- Design, implement, and maintain network segmentation strategies across IT and OT environments.
- Configure and manage Fortinet Firewalls, including policy design, NAT, and advanced security features.
- Design and troubleshoot site-to-site VPNs and secure remote connectivity solutions.
- Support and optimize SD-WAN deployments and hybrid network architectures.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting of LAN, WAN, and WLAN networks.
- Implement and maintain Azure networking, including VNets, routing, and connectivity (VPN / ExpressRoute).
- Develop and enforce network standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Monitor network performance, conduct capacity planning, and perform tuning for optimal performance.
- Support QoS for voice/IP telephony and latency-sensitive applications.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure alignment with enterprise security architecture.
- Participate in on-call rotation (24/7 support) and assist with incident response when needed.
- Manage vendors and third-party contractors.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team skill development.

Qualifications
- Strong background in enterprise IP networking and routing/switching.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Cisco Catalyst switching platforms.
- Cisco Nexus data center switching (vPC, high availability, etc.).
- Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs) and enterprise Wi-Fi.
- Fortinet Firewalls (FortiGate).
- SD-WAN technologies.
- Strong experience with:
- Site-to-site VPNs and secure network design.
- Network segmentation (VLANs, VRFs, security zones).
- Azure networking (VNets, hybrid connectivity).
- Deep troubleshooting expertise across Layer 2–7 networking.
- Experience designing high-availability and fault-tolerant network architectures.
- Familiarity with performance monitoring and network analytics tools.
- 7-10 years of enterprise networking experience.
- At least 3-5 years in a senior position.
- Experience supporting multiple locations, remote users, and cloud connectivity.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Travel
30% including overnight and weekends.

Pay
Annual salary range of $90K-$130K with a defined annual incentive plan.
