Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and eight years of related network engineering experience.
- HS Diploma and ten years of network experience will be accepted in lieu of degree.
Knowledge
- Knowledge of Cisco UCS, server virtualization, and network infrastructure desired.
Responsibilities
- Designs complex networks to achieve optimum operation and cost.
- Diagnoses and resolves complex network problems/failures.
- Proposes, evaluates and participates in the procurement process for hardware and software.
- Performs moves, adds and changes of all LAN/WAN resources.
- Installs/monitors new hardware and software and interacts with vendors, and user community to resolve technical issues.
- Ensures the integrity and optimum performance of LAN/WAN equipment, including servers, routers, switches, VOIP, telephones, etc.
- Implements and maintains Data Center Server, Storage, and Network Infrastructure.
- Implements security best practices including patching infrastructure.
- Performs new technology analyses and recommends resources to satisfy new requirements.
- Designs and implements IPv6 network infrastructure.
