Sr Network Engineer

MicroVision Inc. is seeking a Sr Network Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a lean, efficient, and secure network environment while supporting special infrastructure initiatives. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across departments and provide technical support as needed.We are looking for a dependable, self-motivated professional with strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, who can operate independently and contribute to a fast-paced, high-performance environment. You must live and reside within commuting distance from MicroVision’s office in Orlando, FL. We are not able to provide visa sponsorship for this position. You must be able to work in the US without sponsorship. Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with internal teams to assess network needs and develop forward-looking infrastructure plansDesign, implement, and maintain secure LAN/WAN environments using Cisco Meraki and other enterprise-grade solutionsLead and support infrastructure projects focused on enhancing network performance, security, and scalabilityAnalyze and monitor network performance; prepare quarterly reports with recommendations for improvementsTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to wireless access, routing, switching, and remote connectivityConfigure, manage, and maintain VPN infrastructure for secure remote accessAdminister and optimize Meraki firewall appliancesMaintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, assets, and processesEnsure seamless coordination with both internal departments and external vendors for service integrationProvide support during non-standard hours for emergencies or scheduled maintenance windowsRequired QualificationsProven experience managing Cisco Meraki switches and wireless access pointsMust have Cisco Nexus and Catalyst experienceCapable of lifting and transporting networking equipment (up to 50 lbs) when necessaryProficient in SD-WAN and multi-site network architectureIn-depth understanding of core networking protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SSH, SSL, NFS, and CIFSExperience deploying and managing ISP circuits and vendor coordinationExpertise in VPN technologies and secure remote access implementationStrong grasp of network security concepts, including firewall configuration and access controlHigh levels of experience in Routing and Switching is a must haveAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teamsStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with Fortinet firewalls or other advanced network security appliancesRelevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNP, Network+, or equivalent)Hands-on experience with Zscaler ZPAAbility to work in a hybrid model, including both remote and on-site support as requiredFamiliarity with file storage systems and encryption methodologies MicroVision offers a flexible work schedule that could include a hybrid schedule of onsite and remote work, subject to team and business needs.
