Sr. Network Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own the design and delivery of major platform components, including backend services and APIs
• Build and maintain frontend components using JavaScript frameworks
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs according to an API-first model
• Implement data models across various database types representing network state and service intent
• Deliver reliable, maintainable production-quality code with automated test coverage
• Build and enhance a Python-based network automation platform and develop orchestration workflows for service provisioning
• Apply deep service-provider routing and network security knowledge to automation design and validation

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technical experience in production software and network automation systems
• 6+ years in platform/software engineering, including Python development (Flask) and REST API design
• 6+ years with network and security expertise in MPLS L3VPN, BGP, and Data Center Interconnect
• 5+ years of experience with network automation, intent-driven provisioning, and multi-vendor configuration
• 3+ years of experience building service APIs for customer-facing applications, including handling authorization and rate limiting
• 3+ years in GitOps/CI/CD practices, focusing on automated tests and configuration delivery
• Demonstrated experience leading technical design and mentoring engineers
