About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. NetSuite Systems Developer to serve as the senior technical owner of our existing NetSuite ERP environment. This role is pivotal in maintaining the stability, performance, and alignment of our NetSuite instance with evolving business needs. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, and integrations, with a proven track record of supporting and enhancing an enterprise-level NetSuite environment in a production support capacity.

The Sr. Developer will work closely with cross-functional teams including Business Systems Analysts, Salesforce support, Deposco WMS support, and integration platforms like Jitterbit to ensure seamless order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory, and financial workflows. This role offers significant autonomy, requiring sound technical judgment, proactive problem-solving, and a focus on delivering durable solutions that reduce operational toil and improve system reliability. The position can be remote or hybrid, based in El Segundo, CA, or Burbank/North Hollywood, CA.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior technical owner of the NetSuite environment, providing Tier 2/3 support for incidents, defects, and user-reported issues.
• Triage and diagnose root causes of production incidents, including SuiteScript governance issues, workflow errors, and integration failures, driving solutions to durable resolution.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy minor enhancements to SuiteScript 2.x (User Event, Client, Scheduled, Map/Reduce, RESTlet), SuiteFlow workflows, Saved Searches, and custom records.
• Optimize existing scripts and workflows for performance, maintainability, and governance compliance; refactor legacy scripts as needed.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the NetSuite ↔ Deposco WMS and Salesforce ↔ Jitterbit integrations, ensuring data flows such as order releases, inventory sync, and customer updates are reliable and accurate.
• Monitor scheduled jobs, Map/Reduce queues, and integration health, investigating alerts and degradation events, especially post-upgrade performance issues.
• Participate in NetSuite release readiness activities, reviewing release notes, testing in sandbox environments, and validating updates in production.
• Coordinate sandbox refreshes, manage SuiteCloud Development Framework projects, and promote changes following documented change control procedures.
• Collaborate with Business Systems Analysts to translate business requirements into technical designs, providing effort estimates and surfacing potential risks early.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles to support ongoing system support and future enhancements.
• Identify recurring issues and operational inefficiencies; implement permanent fixes, automation, or process improvements to reduce incident volume and manual effort.
• Support user role and permission administration, ensuring security and compliance across the ERP environment.
• Contribute to ERP separation initiatives, subsidiary setups, and carve-out projects involving NetSuite configurations, scripting, and integrations.
• Provide technical input on third-party SuiteApps and bundles, evaluating their fit and impact before adoption.
• Adhere to IT general controls, change management policies, and security guidelines, including participating in on-call support for critical incidents and scheduled change windows.
• Monitor ticket queues, analyze trends, and contribute to KPIs and SLAs to ensure high-quality support services.

Qualifications

• Expert-level proficiency in NetSuite SuiteScript 2.x, SuiteFlow, Saved Searches, SuiteAnalytics, and SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF); competency in SuiteScript 1.0 for legacy support.
• At least 5+ years of progressive NetSuite development experience, supporting and maintaining an existing production environment.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite modules including order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory, and financials.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, including script governance failures, scheduled job backlogs, and integration errors.
• Experience integrating NetSuite with third-party systems such as Deposco WMS, Salesforce, and middleware platforms like Jitterbit or MuleSoft.
• Strong understanding of change management processes, including sandbox promotion, regression testing, and release discipline.
• Excellent documentation skills, capable of creating clear technical runbooks, knowledge base articles, and incident reports.
• Ability to identify recurring operational issues and implement automation or process improvements to enhance system stability and efficiency.
• Experience supporting role and permission management in partnership with IT and security teams, following least privilege principles.
• Knowledge of IT general controls, SOX compliance, and security best practices in ERP environments.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues into understandable language for non-technical stakeholders.
