Sr. .NET Fullstack Developer with PowerApps and Govt. Exp

This position will be in support of the LiFT Program, which encompasses multiple projects for remediation of legacy applications within the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance, responsible for billions in state revenue.

Responsibilities

• Guide the technical design for modernization of legacy systems.
• Coordinate technical solutions among various technical support groups.
• Make changes in multiple systems in real time to enable changes requested by user groups.
• Implement technical solutions.
• Develop tax processing system components and maintain existing processing systems.
• Support production tasks including analysis of issues, proposing and implementing solutions for defect resolution.
• Coordinate with development team on development activities and integration testing.
• Develop technical design documents and program specifications.
• Guide requirements gathering sessions and the analysis of requirements and system design work.
• Code and perform unit and integration tests of programming assignments.
• Write and tune SQL.
• Support user testing efforts.
• Performance tune new and existing applications.
• Mentor less experienced staff.

Requirements

• 14+ years of experience involved with all facets of the software development process, including research, design, programming, testing, and implementation of computer software.
• 84 months of experience with .NET technologies including ASP.NET, MVC (Model View Controller), Blazor, and REST services, with extensive development skills in the .NET ecosystem for building client and web applications and services.
• 84 months of experience in Database and Application Integration specifically with SQL Server, including performance tuning applications that interact with databases, and integrating .Net/Blazor and Power Platform solutions.
• 24 months of experience with a Government Taxation organization, including business knowledge, technical design, development, maintenance, and end-user support of complex Tax Return processing.
• 60 months of experience in cloud and server management including Azure services, Windows Server setup and configuration, and IIS management including managing X.509 and SSL certificates.
• 24 months of experience with the Microsoft Power Platform developing Canvas applications, Power Automate flows, and Custom Connectors.
• 60 months of experience in Collaboration and Version Control including DevOps practices, using GitHub for source control, and Jira for project management, agile development, and defect tracking.

This is a 100% onsite position.
