Sr. MuleSoft Platform Developer

About the role

This is a hands-on, technical role serving as the platform owner for a MuleSoft portfolio, driving technical delivery and modernization initiatives. The role offers the opportunity to work with integration technologies and AI-powered tools in a remote environment. This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain MuleSoft integration solutions and APIs.
• Act as platform owner, ensuring performance, scalability, and governance of the MuleSoft portfolio.
• Lead technical discussions and mentor team members on best practices and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into integration solutions.
• Implement and manage Apigee API management solutions.
• Evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies, including AI-powered development tools.
• Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and adherence to security standards.
• Participate in on-call support and incident response as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of professional software development and integration experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on MuleSoft experience across ESB, API management, or integration platforms.
• Experience with Google Apigee API management.
• Proficiency in Java and RESTful API design.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and best practices.
• Proven ownership of complex technical projects from conception to delivery.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.
• Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS or Azure.

Preferred qualifications

• Hospitality or travel industry knowledge.
• Experience with AI-powered development tools and platforms.
• MuleSoft or integration technology certifications.
• Experience with modern DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Background in microservices architecture.

Pay

Rate: $60.00 to $70.00/hr. w2
