About the role
Cox Fleet is seeking a Senior Mobile Diesel Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves performing DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and complex repairs in a mobile field environment. The ideal candidate will lead on jobsites, manage parts inventory, and communicate effectively with clients.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections
- Minor adjustments and repairs on various truck equipment
- Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment
- Inspect, test, and diagnose vehicle malfunctions
- Manage parts inventory and conduct safety checks
- Work with clients to assess needs and resolve issues
- Document work performed and upload findings to company app
- Accurately complete DOT forms and other documentation
- Work independently and manage daily tasks
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED and 5 years’ experience in a related field
- At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment
- Supply a set of hand tools necessary for job duties
- OEM training and certifications preferred
- Pass DOT-regulated background screening and physical
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
