Sr. Mobile Diesel Mechanic

About the role

Cox Fleet is seeking a Senior Mobile Diesel Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves performing DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and complex repairs in a mobile field environment. The ideal candidate will lead on jobsites, manage parts inventory, and communicate effectively with clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections
• Minor adjustments and repairs on various truck equipment
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment
• Inspect, test, and diagnose vehicle malfunctions
• Manage parts inventory and conduct safety checks
• Work with clients to assess needs and resolve issues
• Document work performed and upload findings to company app
• Accurately complete DOT forms and other documentation
• Work independently and manage daily tasks

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED and 5 years’ experience in a related field
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment
• Supply a set of hand tools necessary for job duties
• OEM training and certifications preferred
• Pass DOT-regulated background screening and physical
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
