Sr. Mine Planning Engineer

About the role

The Sr. Mine Planning Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive mine planning strategies that ensure efficient and safe mining operations. This role requires a deep understanding of geological data, advanced software proficiency, and strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update mine plans using specialized software tools.
• Collaborate with geologists, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather and analyze data.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
• Prepare and present reports and presentations to senior management.
• Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of mine planning projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in mine planning and operations.
• Proficiency in mine planning software such as MineSight, TerraSolid, or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
