About the role
Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote. If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership. If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come in would be communicated with you in advance.

What it takes to be successful in this role
- Experience in content development and instructional design
- Experience with learning management systems
- Experience developing content across multiple delivery formats (preferred)
- Knowledge of adult learning principles
- Proficiency in e-learning and content development tools
- Insurance or financial services industry experience (preferred)
- Training or instructional design certification (preferred)
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Education IT, or a related field
- Aflac sales knowledge and experience
- Experience and knowledge of learning delivery and platforms
- 8+ years of related job experience with experience in enterprise-wide rollout of new sales methodologies or tools
- 5+ years of managerial experience
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Responsibilities
- Leads the implementation and delivery of training programs that support producer growth, conversion, retention, and field performance
- Ensures alignment, consistency, and effective execution of national sales training initiatives across all distribution channels
- Partners with Distribution Vice Presidents and sales leadership to assess training needs, interpret performance metrics, and implement targeted solutions to improve results
- Supports the development and refinement of training content by providing field insights and recommendations based on market needs and performance outcomes
- Monitors training effectiveness through key performance indicators, field feedback, and market insights; identifies trends and drives continuous improvement initiatives
- Oversees the consistent rollout of new or revised training programs, ensuring readiness, communication, and adoption across markets
- Partners with cross-functional teams to share best practices, improve training processes, and enhance the overall learning experience for the sales force
- Leads or supports national initiatives and projects focused on training innovation, process improvements, and sales enablement effectiveness
- Facilitates delivery of key training sessions and programs, including leadership development, recruiting, and sales capability training
- Oversees the planning, monitoring, and management of budgets, staffing, and other resources to ensure effective and efficient operations
- Leads project management efforts, including aligning internal partners and ensuring clear, consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle
- Performs other duties as needed
Pay
The salary range for this job is $130,000 - $160,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting. At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role to allow for future and continued salary growth, and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
