About the role

This fully remote leadership development role shapes the learning strategy for senior commercial leaders, including Regional Sales Directors and Area Vice Presidents. You will design scalable, role-based development experiences that strengthen coaching, talent development, business acumen, and field execution. The position combines strategic learning leadership with hands-on curriculum design, facilitation, stakeholder partnership, and program management. You will work closely with Sales leadership, Human Resources, Commercial Excellence, and subject matter experts to translate business priorities into measurable development outcomes. The role also supports onboarding, succession planning, emerging-leader development, and the creation of a consistent leadership culture. Success will depend on your ability to influence senior stakeholders, use data to improve programs, and create learning experiences that translate into behavior change.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy, design, administration, and continuous improvement of role-based leadership development programs and learning paths for Regional Sales Directors and Area Vice Presidents.
  • Conduct ongoing capability and needs assessments using business priorities, performance trends, stakeholder feedback, learner insights, and field observations.
  • Develop and deliver blended learning experiences, including instructor-led workshops, virtual sessions, self-paced learning, cohort programs, peer learning, and field-based application activities.
  • Create leadership development content covering coaching, talent development, performance management, strategic planning, business acumen, communication, change leadership, and cross-functional influence.
  • Partner with Sales leadership and Human Resources to establish role-specific competencies, development milestones, and success measures for current and emerging leaders.
  • Build structured onboarding and transition programs for newly appointed senior sales leaders, incorporating clear expectations, learning milestones, mentoring, and practical application.
  • Support succession planning by identifying development priorities and aligning targeted learning experiences with future leadership needs.
  • Create practical tools, playbooks, assessments, and reinforcement resources that help leaders apply learning within their teams and business areas.
  • Facilitate leadership programs and executive-level learning sessions with credibility, strong presence, and effective group engagement.
  • Select, manage, and evaluate external vendors, facilitators, assessments, and leadership development resources as required.
  • Oversee program logistics, communications, enrollment, completion tracking, and learning records through relevant learning platforms.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting that measure participation, completion, learner experience, behavior change, and business impact, using insights to continuously improve program effectiveness.
  • Build strong relationships with field leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to keep development programs relevant, scalable, and aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Monitor emerging leadership development practices, adult learning approaches, and learning technologies and incorporate appropriate innovations into the strategy.
  • Establish program governance, including annual roadmaps, stakeholder review cadences, prioritization processes, and standards for curriculum quality and scalability.
  • Manage the leadership development budget and ensure programs are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, organizational development, education, human resources, or a related field; an advanced degree or leadership development certification is preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in leadership development, learning and development, sales training, commercial excellence, people leadership, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and evaluating leadership development curricula or learning journeys for sales leaders and senior commercial audiences.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, facilitation, coaching, and behavior-change methodologies.
  • Experience translating business priorities and leadership needs into practical development
