About the role
Alexa is seeking a Senior Innovation Engineer to lead the Amazon Logistics Automation Engineering team and innovate at scale. This individual will be the owner of a product roadmap and ensure delivery to the vision of the next generation of AMZL delivery stations. This is a unique opportunity at a critical juncture in Amazon's growth to drive end to end product delivery from inception to execution.
Responsibilities
- Initiate, define, plan and lead pilots in the field for new automation and robotics technologies.
- Work closely with Operations, Field Eng partners and other stakeholders to lead field pilots end-to-end.
- Identify new programs to onboard and integrate.
- Lead the execution of the product with high-level of discipline and engagement with the product development teams.
- Build product roadmaps for bringing in new vendor developed technologies to pilot.
- Lead the system integration pillar for NA based projects working with various integrators.
- Build a team of engineers to lead the function in NA.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent 5+ years of program management, project management or product management experience.
- Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma and other operations engineer tools.
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in engineering, finance, supply chain, logistics, computer science or equivalent.
- Experience with financial and statistical modeling.
- Six Sigma Black Belt, or experience in automated conveyors systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, blueprint and electrical schematic reading, CMMS programs, preventive maintenance procedures, industrial electrical, industrial controls , industrial electronics.
Skills
- Passionate, hands-on leaders with experience managing new product and process development for high dollar value programs.
- Influence and work with senior leaders across multiple organizations and geographies.
- Work with organizations such as Amazon Robotics, Worldwide Engineering and Design, as well as Operations, to innovate at scale and drive the development roadmap.
- Manage large, complex initiatives, deal with ambiguity, and advocate on behalf of the customer to develop the next generation of AMZL delivery stations.

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
