Sr. Mfg Eng; Process Quality, Hardware Engineering Services - Manufacturing

About the role

Amazon Web Services’ Hardware Engineering team is seeking experienced Manufacturing Engineers to operate in a fast-paced, multi-platform international manufacturing and production environment. This role involves collaborating with ODMs, CMs, internal AWS hardware and software teams, and upstream component vendors to scale manufacturing processes and meet throughput and quality targets. You will serve as the technical contact, owning the manufacturing launch and resolving process issues.

Responsibilities

• Scale up manufacturing of new products across a global network.
• Lead and oversee quality control processes across Contract Manufacturers (CM), Original Design Manufacturers (ODM), and component vendors.
• Provide hands-on technical support during new product introductions and launches.
• Investigate and resolve customer escalations through comprehensive root cause analysis.
• Own PFMEAs, Control Plans, and process flows from product startup through end of life.
• Support global operations through regular domestic and international travel (25-50% of time).

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in high-volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience with server platforms or high-tech hardware.
• 5+ years of product development experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production.
• Experience with project management of technical projects.

Pay

Base salary ranges:

• USA, TX, Austin: $159,200.00 - $215,300.00 USD annually
• USA, WA, Seattle: $159,200.00 - $215,300.00 USD annually
