Sr Merchandising Planner

Description of Duties

• Develops and implements inventory control procedures and strategies for all channels of the business, with continuous development of KPI’s.
• Provides analysis of inventory data and trends, import schedules, and contingency planning and identify areas of opportunity and risk.
• PARTNERS WITH INTERNAL TEAMS TO FORM INVENTORY STRATEGY AND MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS TO MAXIMIZE SALES, GROSS MARGIN, AND INVENTORY PRODUCTION.
• Develops initial purchase forecast for all finished goods and relevant product categories.
• SUPPORTS BUSINESS INTEGRATION OF NEW AND SCALING SALES AND OPERATIONS PLANNING PROCESSES FOR ALL CHANNELS.
• UTILIZES PLC (PRODUCT LIFE CYCLE) AND PLM (PRODUCT LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT) SYSTEMS AND PARTNERS WITH PRODUCT LIFE CYCLE TEAMS TO ENSURE READINESS FOR PURCHASE ORDERS AND DOWNSTREAM WORKFLOWS, INCLUDING BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ARCHITECTURE.
• DEVELOPS AND PRESENTS REPORTS AND UPDATES ON STATUS OF BUSINESS AND FINANCIAL OBJECTIVES.
• STAY AWARE OF REGULATORY AND TRADE IMPACTS TO THE BUSINESS BETWEEN ASIA, NORTH, CENTRAL AND SOUTH AMERICAS.

Summary of Requirements

• Five (5) plus years of related experience in Supply Chain or Inventory/Supply Planning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and influence a variety of audiences including senior leadership.
• Excellent analytical and problem resolution skillset in an ambiguous environment.
• Import/Customs experience helpful.
• Strong reporting skills with large sets of data required.
• Undergraduate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Inventory Management or Planning, or related field or equivalent experience.
• APICS and/or IBF (SCM) certification an advantage.
