Responsibilities

• Participate in day-to-day clinical care of patients
• Perform patient intake process (vital signs, history, medication review)
• Coordinate patient care as directed by physicians, company standards, and policies
• Perform clinical procedures (injections, ear lavage, POC testing)
• Assist the providers with minor procedures
• Maintain clinical logs (exam room maintenance, temperature logs, blood specimen logs)
• Submit electronic referrals for additional services
• Enroll and respond to electronic patient messages in the patient portal program
• Process medication refills per protocol
• Make and take patient calls
• Schedule appointments when required
• Order and oversee supplies
• Ensure quality controls of the clinic
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Graduate from a Medical Assistant program/school or relevant experience
• Current CPR card for Healthcare Professionals (AHA BLS) or willing to obtain within 30 days
• 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant

Preferred Qualifications

• Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant
• 2+ years of clinical experience
• EMR experience
• Experience in working with HMO, PPO, Medicare

Pay

The hourly pay for this role will range from $18.00 to $32.00 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
